The Back Office / Treasury Operations Manager position is primarily focused on supporting Ally Corporate Treasury and Lines of Business with their funding and liquidity needs. This affords broad exposure and interaction with various groups across Ally, including Accounting, Finance, Auto Dealer Services, Compliance and Audit, as well as with third party banks and vendors. Treasury Operations personnel must be able to effectively communicate with these groups as well as with Ally's banking partners. Associates should develop a strong understanding of these groups, how they fit in at Ally, and how to best serve their treasury needs.
The position will include a rotating responsibility for processing, approving and monitoring FedWires, ACH and SWIFT payment activity as well as confirming and settling capital markets trading activity. This position requires a strong working knowledge of FedWires and ACH processing workflows, SEC codes, and payment processing best practices. Experience in utilizing various FedLine services is required.
The manager will work in a team environment to recommend, develop and implement best practices and tight internal controls for a regulated entity. Candidate will also participate in projects involving the implementation or upgrade of software or hardware.
Duties within the group include, but are not limited to, management reporting of activity and positions, developing procedures and controls around the position and movement of funds (including bulk transactions via the ACH network), developing and maintaining relationships with correspondent banks. Other responsibilities can include coordinating intra-day and next day cash forecasting and working with the Bank's lending channels to ensure appropriate funding of the business lines.
BA/BS from a 4yr accredited university required (Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance major is preferred)
5+ yrs experience in Treasury Operations, with significant strength in Federal Reserve Bank (FedLine) operations
ACH Processing Experience; AAP certification preferred
Expertise in FedLine Advantage and FedLine Direct
Experience with a variety of FedLine services
Strong leadership and communication skills
Strong analytic and MS Excel skills
Familiarity with enterprise payment systems is preferred
Ability to interact with a diverse group of customers, both internal and external
Ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines and handle pressure
Demonstrated team player and leader
Exhibit a strong work ethic and high degree of self-motivation
