Gannon University’s Dahlkemper School of Business seeks a Visiting Professor in Finance. The appointment for this six month temporary position begins January 2018. The successful candidate will teach in Finance and related areas of business at the undergraduate and graduate levels; prepare motivated students intellectually, professionally and personally; and advise students. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work and teach in Gannon University’s new Center for Business Ingenuity (CBI). CBI houses the Business Information Systems Laboratory (BISL), a high bandwidth facility designed to facilitate group projects by providing advanced tools for cooperation. CBI is a center for teaching, scholarship, and community engagement. It houses not only the Dahlkemper School of Business, but also a Small Business Development Center (SBDC) and the Erie Technology Incubator (ETI). Faculty and students have the opportunity to interact with regional entrepreneurs some of whom are resident within the building.
Requirements include a Ph.D., D.B.A., or comparable degree (completed by December, 2017) in Finance or a closely related field and excellent communication skills. Experience in a finance position as well as teaching experience in higher education is preferred. Candidates must be able to support and promote the University’s inclusive Mission, its Catholic identity, and its liberal arts and professional education traditions.
