The Finance Office at Bucknell is seeking a full-time Finance Operational Support Specialist to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be an integral member of the team and will provide operational and administrative support to various areas of Finance. This is a full-time, 12 month, benefits eligible position.
Job Duties: Property Management • Assist in managing Bucknell real estate activities which include properties that Bucknell leases to others and properties that Bucknell leases from others. Duties includes, but are not limited to, managing contracts, paying bills, collecting rent, managing taxes, and providing assistance for the purchase and sale of real estate.
Contract Management • Maintain and update master list of leases and contracts. • Monitor dates for renewals, cancelations, etc. and notify appropriate Finance Office individual of coming dates. • Manage contract retention files.
Auxiliary Operations and Business Service areas • Support the management of University's auxiliary operations and business service areas, including, but not limited to, dining, bookstore, box office, events management, laundry, etc. • Manage recurring items such weekly and monthly vendor billings, reconciliations, and preparation of operating and trend analysis reports.
Finance Office Management • Support the Finance Office with various projects and reports. • Schedule and track tasks and project timelines required to meet deadlines (e.g. taxes, surveys, general external reports). • Assist with the development and delivery of progress reports. • Manage designated office projects to ensure that goals and objectives are accomplished by determining priorities and time limitations.
Administrative • Perform general administrative duties and business practices to support the Finance Office including, but not limited to, scheduling meetings, assisting with preparing meeting materials (trustee and other meetings), filing, answering phones, record keeping, photocopying and faxing materials. • Maintain appropriate departmental records as required by University policy. • Assist with department webpage maintenance and publication materials. • Communicate effectively, both in writing and orally, with faculty, students, administrative personnel, staff, and parents to address inquiries relating to policies, procedures, and practices.

Minimum Qualifications: • Associate degree or equivalent • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a complex office setting. • Advanced Microsoft Office skills. • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral forms. • Appreciation for and understanding of a Finance Office's role in a complex organization setting, including a focus on service. • Demonstrated successful organizational skills and experience with projects and multi-disciplinary teams • Exceptional customer service skills, strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize deadlines and successfully manage multiple priorities. • Ability to handle sensitive confidential information in a responsible and appropriate manner. • Proactive approach to assignments, problem solving, communication needs, and planning. • Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment. • Demonstrated ability to positively interact with a wide range of individuals. • Demonstrates commitment to diversity and inclusiveness.
Preferred Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree. • Experience in a higher educational setting. • Experience with complex computer systems/applications.
