The Finance Manager is responsible for the development and management of all Katz Graduate School of Business and College of Business Administration (CBA) budget and fiscal related activities.
General responsibilities include:
Developing, allocating and monitoring all fiscal budgets
Monitoring and reconciling budgetary reports for all accounts
Reviewing and approving all expenditures, reports, disbursements, and cost transfers for Katz / CBA budgets and accounts
Conducting complex financial analyses and developing comprehensive financial reports
Organizing and preparing budget analyses, datasheets, reports, and projections on a regular and ad-hoc basis
Monitoring all purchasing functions
Providing guidance in the use of PRISM, purchasing systems, and the internet procurement system
Directing all aspects of the management of grant and research budgets for the entire School
Supervising the Senior Financial Analyst, Accounts Specialist and work-study students
Addressing all budget inquiries as required
Position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related discipline, with three to five years of fiscal management experience, including supervisory and senior level work experience. Confidentiality, accuracy, and attention to detail are critical.
Strong accounting and financial skills and knowledge of the University's operations are essential. Excellent communication skills are required along with the ability to manage workflow with tight deadlines. Ability to be flexible with assignments and to multi-task is imperative.
Master's degree preferred. Three to five years fiscal management experience, including supervisory and senior level work experience. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related discipline.
