Investment Banking Associate / Senior Associate

About the Position

We are looking to add an Investment Banking Associate or Senior Associate to help augment our growing team..  Both Associates and Senior Associates have the unique opportunity to interact directly with the Managing Directors on all M&A assignments and are encouraged to take on a considerable amount of responsibility.  Such exposure enables staff at the firm to gain first-hand M&A experience, including both business development and deal execution, while developing meaningful relationships directly with clients.  A minimum of 1-2 years of direct investment banking or private equity experience is required. No candidates will be considered without this minimum requirement.  The ideal candidate should be located within our geographic marketplace, or willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

1. Business Development
   • Assist with developing and coordinating marketing activities to promote the firm
   • Contact Business Owners, CEOs, and Shareholders to generate new leads
   • Operate and manage our Customer Relationship Management database to develop data-driven campaigns to consistently drive prospects through our pipeline
   • Promote Falcon brand through new channels, conferences, trade shows, content publication, etc.
2. Content
   • Generate ideas for consistent and well-researched content to publish on Falcon website, LinkedIn, email campaigns, etc.
   • Lead the research, drafting, and execution of articles and reports
   • Develop target audience for content and manage the outbound and inbound conversations with relevant parties
3. Research
   • Perform market sector research (industry, competition, customer, product, etc.)
   • Update market sector research as required
   • Track and analyze relevant M&A comparables, including public companies trading multiples and precedent transactions
   • Develop prospect lists of potential acquirers and target clients
4. Financial Modeling/Analysis
   • Take primary responsibility for gathering and analyzing the clients’ financials to develop detailed historical and pro forma models
   • Coordinate with client to update financials on go-forward basis
   • Utilize Discounted Cash Flow (DCF), Leveraged Buyout (LBO), Public Trading Comparables (Comps), and Precedent Transaction Comparables (M&A Comps) to develop comparative valuation analyses for clients and/or target market sectors
5. Transaction Management Process
   • Assist with identification, screening, and qualification of prospects
   • Make outbound calls and emails to potential acquirers in sell-side processes
   • Develop all M&A marketing materials (pitch books, teasers, information memorandums, management presentations)
   • Manage the due diligence analyses throughout the process
   • Field calls and information requests from potential acquirers/suitors
   • Coordinate and manage client-prospect due diligence, task lists, process updates
   • Manage the online data room set-up and maintenance throughout the process
