Key Responsibilities
The Squad Leader will lead/co-lead MtJ squad for SME, to achieve the journey outcomes. The term journey and squad are used interchangeably. Journey outcomes primarily consist of business and CX (customer experience) outcome. Business outcome refers to revenue target as well as other business kpi such as asset & liability growth while CX outcome refers to customers' satisfaction & engagement. Under DBS' MtJ construct, the squad lead is also tasked with people & stakeholder management responsibility. The squad lead is jointly responsible (jointly with the relevant chapter / functional leads) for the performance appraisal and compensation of his/her core squad members. Core members are known as M1 in the MtJ framework. The Squad lead is also responsible for stakeholders management of his/her journeys.
This squad lead will focus on customer cross/up buy initiatives to achieve customer centricity, including leading his/her squad on improvements across various dimensions such as business & product innovations, end-to-end processes and infrastructure capabilities to ensure we deliver the desired customer & business outcomes.
Business outcomes - Working with Performance Cell lead and Segment heads to identify, define & drive business outcomes (including but not limited to revenue, asset and liability balances and fees), with the objective of driving customer cross/up-buy & CX(customer experience)
CX & Reimagine customer journey - Apply DBS's 4D (Discover, Define, Design, Deliver) methodology in an agile approach, to understand customers' job to be done & pain points to improve CX. From ideation to fruition, working with cross functional stakeholders, to reimagine customer journey, break down barriers and challenge status quo through appropriate data-driven insights, campaigns, infrastructure, and process improvement
Experimentation & innovation - incorporate learnings to improve cross-buy via various channels such as RM and digital
MtJ Initiative Management - Develop and track work plans, to achieve the squad outcomes
Change management - Apply a structured strategy/methodology and lead change management activities, including effecting behavioral changes towards use of data & control tower pervasively
People management - co-manage core squad members (called M1 under MtJ construct) with their functional (also called chapter) managers, including performance and compensation(as required), per MtJ framework
Stakeholder management - Squad leads manage squad members from different functions (also called chapters). Their managers from their function (also called chapters) and key sponsors like performance cell leads are key stakeholders to manage.
Requirements
Degree in Banking/Finance, Business, Engineering, Computing or related disciplines
At least 8 years of working experience in financial institutions or consulting, preferably with experience in a "change the bank" role or in implementing new journeys or working on digital platforms and tools.
Good understanding of institutional banking or SME business & its products is a strong advantage
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to gather, organize, analyse information with attention to details and accuracy.
Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
Meticulous, highly organized and able to work under pressure in a time-critical environment.
Purpose driven with strong drive to manage timeline of activities assigned to his/her squad members, in order to deliver real outcomes and impact.
