Position Overview
Summary:
The Merchant Solutions team develops and manages products around merchant payment acceptance and card issuance. Especially merchants and merchant platforms that expand globally need alternative payment options that are important in the target countries and in turn increase the complexity of payments for merchants. The team develops solutions for these alternative payment options as well as card payments. As global Card Acceptance Team our focus is to enable relevant card and local debit schemes as a commercial acquirer to our clients. This is including a state-of-the-art payment gateway technology with a seamless UX/CX journey.
Responsibilities:
Become part of Merchant Solution's Card Acceptance team
Assume technical ownership for DB's point-of-sale (POS) ecosystem
Work with DB's tech vendors and tech department to develop the necessary architecture, systems and features
Liaise closely with Product Managers of the acceptance card products (e.g. Mastercard, Visa, Girocard)
Develop a roadmap for the further enhancements of the POS offering for merchants and fintechs - e.g. SoftPOS or unattended terminals
Contribute to the development of customized POS solutions for DB's merchant and fintech clients, including requirements definition, project planning, implementation, testing and releases
Skills and experiences:
You have gained already relevant work experience, for instance from working at a Card Scheme, Acquirer or Fintech
You have an understanding of the POS technical ecosystem and are familiar with the associated certification processes
You have the necessary technological and methodical background to work with the tribe's developers and tech vendors (preferably hands-on work experience with SCRUM)
You feel comfortable to work in complex projects and can deal with changing contexts and ambiguity
You are an excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing in English and German
